The Methodists of Manor Road seek to serve God in the heart of Woolston, by providing a focus of loving, caring Christian witness in the community, in ecumenical partnership with the other Churches in the area. We continue to reach out to the local community through distinctive, established ways of outreach such as our weekly Thrift shop, uniformed organisations, playgroup, and other meetings and events which offer refuge, nuture and challenge as changing needs arise. Part of our vision for the future is not only to enrich and encourage spiritual growth through new opportunities for fellowship and Bible study which will feed into the worship life of the community, but also to seek ever closer links between young and old, to tap into all the good things which our young people have to share with the wider church. Through our pastoral network, we hope to establish a pattern of sensitive caring to let God's love be seen among us. SUNDAY SCHOOL
Here at Woolston Methodist Church, we run a small, but active Sunday School, affectionately known as the "God Squad". The Childrens's age range is from 3-14, and we can entertain under 3's if the parents remain on the Premises, ie. attend the church service.
Our range of activities range from stories through to cookery, including drama, singing, crafts, worksheets, collage making and taking part in occasional services.
Throughout the year we follow the church calendar and the seasons, using themed sessions which normally run over 2 or 3 weeks. Varied activities are used to incorporate the chosen theme.
A Summer and Christmas outing are enjoyed by children and leaders alike.
If you and your children are interested, do come along, any Sunday, 10.20 to 11.30, and you will be assured of a warm welcome.
A baby Friendly Charter
·Babies and Children are always welcome to stay in our services as long as you want them to.
·Creche facilities are available if you require them.
·Toys and books are available in the church and you may use them if you wish.
·Breast feeding infants are welcome in our services.
·There is an area you may use for baby changing and/or feeding.
